Who is Deryn Oliver?
As a fulltime British voice actor and audiobook narrator since 2017 animators, game developers, authors, escape room creators and a host of other creatives have found my naturally warm RP accent and a penchant for character voices to be a great help with their voice acting projects.
I have recorded numerous voice over projects including over 70 audiobooks, corporate videos and gaming characters for companies such as Merlin Entertainment, History Hit, Bosch, Soho House, Penguin Random House and even the United Nations.
How did I get started in voiceover?
I appeared on the TV quiz show ‘Cash Trapped’ and after winning was asked by the host
‘Have you ever considered becoming a voice actor?’
Bradley Walsh wasn’t the first to have suggested a career in voice over but his comment ignited a spark in me to trust my instincts. I took my winnings and invested in a new career.
I have never looked back.

Witches, potion makers, Ancient wise women, sinister nuns, mystical royalty, ocean dwelling goddesses, mad squirrels, dotty dalmatians, kindly owls, dangerous dragons ….. you name it I have probably done a voice over for it whether it be for games, animations, explainer videos, audiobooks or theme parks.
